Eskubi, safety, protection and workwear

Eskubi´s project was born in 1986 when two engineer friends, still keeping their own professional occupations, decide to stablish a company to comercialize industrial gloves.

Due to their initial unknowledge of the business previously they took up a whole year to get information and to make a market research.

In 1987, Eskubi starts its activities in Bilbao, occupying a 134 sqm warehouse, just with the help of a type-writing machine and a telefax, employing a secretary and a warehouse handler as the only staff.

Initially, the only comercialized products were exclussively gloves, 20 different models approximately.

Since first day of activity, ESKUBI DECIDES TO ACT AS A WHOLESALER, JUST COMMERCIALIZING THROUGH INTERMEDIATE TRADERS AND NEVER SELLING TO FINAL USERS OF THE PRODUCT.

This commercial policy is still mantained as one of the basic features of the company.
A growing commercial net is formed and a widening range of products created, starting with rain garments.

Business is on; share capital is increased, two new partners more join the company, new employees, agents and products are incorporated.

In 1990 first movement to a new location in Bilbao takes place. The new warehouse capacity is 400 sqm, the staff is increased again and the commercial net is extended to the whole peninsula and islands.

At the same time, range of offered products is completed, great majority with import origin.

In 1995 the company moves to our new and present facilities in Sondika village, just 5 minutes far from Bilbao city. Warehose capacity raises up to 1.100 sqm and company is reorganized to allow its expanding process.

Later on, we have added a second pavilion, by the initial one, resulting the following present situation of the company:

  • Warehouse capacity: 1.650 sqm
  • Employees: 14
  • Sales delegations:
    • 21 in Spain
    • 1 in France
    • 1 in Portugal
    • 1 in Central America
  • Exclussive distributions for Spain and Portugal of well-known and recognized European and Asian manufacturers.
  • Manufacturing agreements with different companies in Asia, with permanent staff in the continent in charge of purchase managing, inspection and quality control of all products.

Summarizing, this is the effort of a complete organization with just one aim: to provide best attention, service and satisfaction to our customers.
